Q&A with Alison Blackler, mindset coach

How would you describe yourself (and what you do):

I encourage people to find ways to be themselves, how I do that is helping people to understand their minds and behaviours.
I am a therapist and coach with 30 years experience. I am an Author of A Path Travelled
series – ‘How to make sense of your life’ and ‘How to make sense of relationships’ plus a
podcast host.

What is your favourite thing about your life/career?

I love people and I love seeing
people realise that they can make changes so I am in the perfect place.

How do you define wellbeing?

Wellbeing is feeling comfortable and happy with yourself and the choices you make.

What is your advice to people who want to improve their wellbeing?

To try things and work out what works the best for them. There are many different ways to look after our wellbeing and I think people get overwhelmed with these choices, so finding something that works for each person and sticking with that will make all the difference.

If you could choose to do/be anything for a day, what would it be?

An amazing dancer

What is your pet peeve?

When marketing in this field gives the impression that it is easy and their fancy brochure stuck people in and yet there is no substance so empty
promises.
