Before the year 2020, hand sanitiser was likely an afterthought and stashed away for rare emergencies (in fact, I must confess that I don’t think I ever really had any). How times have changed!
Through Covid times, it became a ubiquitous companion, employed multiple times throughout the day and on my children too. I don’t use it so much now things have eased but I still do use it; for travelling, for loo trips on the train, you get the idea, so, I like one that lasts and one that doesn’t leak in my bag!!
There’s now a whole range of hand sanitisers out there. They come in all shapes and sized and now there’s foams, sprays, gels or mists to choose from. Personally, I like a mist. It isn’t sticky, offers the best coverage (in my opinion) and you can make sure that it reaches all the places you might miss when washing your hands with soap, (of which, often there is none left in public loos!!).
Mists are also really quick and simple to use —a simple squirt and a few rubs. No juggling slimey bottles or squeezing out too much with nowhere to go. I also find that it doesn’t dry your hands out either, if you find a good one!
I’ve tried lots of mini hand gels, perfect for my handbag but they all seem to be in funny little plastic bottles of varying designs. Until I came across this one, from Never Go Alone, founded in the pandemic to create a collection of go-anywhere wellness products.
