How would you describe yourself (and what you do):
Journalist turned romcom author. Just like the leading ladies in my books I am fun… but fiesty.
Why do you think International Women’s Day is so important?
Women always need to stay focussed on defending the rights we have already won, and the ones we, and our sisters all over thr world, have yet to achieve. International Women’s Day is a great way to help women connect and learn from each other.
What or who makes you laugh the most?
My husband, Noddy Holder is the funniest person I have ever met (and I’ve met Bob Mortimer, Caroline Aherne and Peter Kay… and seen Nod make them all laugh!!)

If you could choose to do/be anything for a day, what would it be?
I’d love a day as the main character in my next book What would Dolly do? and be a country music singing star on stage in Nashville, Tennessee.
If you were Queen of your own country, what would be the first law you would introduce?
A law that properly holds politicians to account if it is proved they have told lies.
What is your pet peeve?
Bad manners and impolite behaviour (not the 1980s ska band!)
Do you have a family motto or life lesson you would like to share with us?
If you don’t know it’s impossible it’s easier to do.
Last book you read?
How to Be a Diamond in a Rhinestone World by Lauren Marino, featuring the wit and wisdom of Dolly Parton.
Last song you sang to?
Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Joleeeeeene…
