The leaves are falling and the days of sandals are definitely behind us, meaning it’s time to bring on the boots!
And with the stores full to bursting with footwear fancies, it’s time to bring you my top pick of the boot bunch.
Calm the Calves.
If you find the width of calves an issue, with high street boots being too tight or too loose then Duo Boots have come to the rescue with their superb array of width-sized wonders. My particular favorites are these suede, knee-high, olive beauties, available in a wide range of calf widths and
perfect with jeans or leggings. Find yourself an olive handbag and you are laughing.
Chunky and Funky.
Barbour International are famed for their classic country wear and this Autumn, their footwear is mighty fashion forward too! I love these beige and black ankle skimmers, perfect with jeans, leather-look leggings, tights, or wooly socks and a long skirt for an on-trend autumn vibe. And a little stylist insight is that the chunky nature of this boot will visibly slim your legs thanks to its larger scale.
Metallic Marvels.
Metallics are our new neutral coming into the party season with a whole host of glossy goodies adorning the shelves. These gorgeous gold heels are from Zara and I love them dressed up with a dress and opaque tights, but equally dressed down with a shirt and jeans – so versatile and will see you through plenty of occasions for years to come.
On a Hike.
Hiker-style boots are still around this autumn and are a sturdy and stylish alternative to a trainer in the winter months. My tip with these is to make a real statement with prints and even laces. Don’t be afraid to change yours up to personalise them even more and really put your mark on them! Shoe the Bear have some fab options, but these leopard print lace-ups are my absolute favourite.
End on a High.
I wanted to end on a high, with my ultimate party boot- they may be OTT but wow these Bronze Carvela Stand Out boots are completely encrusted in bronze crystals. Style them up with a baggy shirt dress for an edgy party look or down with jeans and an oversized knit for a daytime lunch date.
So there you go. A little something for everyone and not a boring black boot in sight! Happy shopping and join me for my next column where we are in for a full-on sequin session!
