If you could write a letter to your 20-year-old self, what would it say?

One of my best friends is Leonora Bovill, a self-love coach from Barcelona. She summed it up perfectly for me recently with these three points… (especially no.3!!!! So powerful!!)

  1. It’s none of your business what people think of you, so don’t give other people’s opinions a second thought.
  2. Self-belief is a choice and with it anything is possible.
  3. Your body or how you look is the least interesting thing about you – your hobbies, interests and personality are the things that define you.

Where, would you say, are some of your favourite moments?

Being outdoors, in the summer with my family, make-up free, phone-less and with a cracking picnic. That’s what life is all about.

What are you looking forward to this year?

I am really excited about welcoming art-lovers and friends to my studio when it officially opens in May. It’s the first time I have had a large enough space to create and hang my work in. I am busy creating new work for the studio opening. I’m also really excited about visiting Muscat in March for some much needed sun and culture!

Please would you tell us about some of the interesting people who have had an impact on the things you do…

First is Nina Campbell, interior designer. Nina has been a great inspiration and supporter of my creativity, particularly in my early twenties when I accompanied her on a sourcing trip in India.

Then, Dr Rangan Chatterjee, author of ‘The Stress Solution’. At times of change and high stress this book has helped me reevaluate my lifestyle and choices, particularly around my use of tech and being ‘present’ when with friends and family.

And finally, I have to mention The Ubermummies Fitness Community based in Brighton but available worldwide via live online zoom workouts. Founder Alex Smallman is a great leader and inspiration and her classes helped me get in shape both physically and mentally after having my son, and I now continue with the classes from Cheshire.
