1.No sky-high heels
They will a) sink into the grass ruining your parade ring pose, and b) also are guaranteed to be flung in a corner after the second race. Instead opt for a wedge or some of this seasons hot chunky heel. More surface area means greater comfort and they are sink proof!
2. Don’t rain on your own parade!
This time of year the weather can totally ruin our plans and dressing for every eventuality is a must. Packing your rain coat is a bit OTT so grab a see-through poncho and chuck it in your bag. When the rain is coming down it’s easy to throw on and being see-through your outfit will still shine!
3. Over the shoulder.
Ladies, let’s talk bags. Now, I know a clutch is tres-chic but let’s make sure it has a strap. This means it can be worn over the shoulder or, my personal fave, across the body-hands free for all the bar and the bets. Perfect!
4. Bold is beautiful.
The races is the best place to try a new colour, bold and beautiful is the order of the day so be brave and embrace some of those super spring/summer shades.
5. Hats amore.
The races are the perfect opportunity to go hard on the hats! My advice is to go for something with a clip or headband included, if not, one big gust and it’s curtains for you perfect headpiece
