Cheshire Businesses Raise £5,438 for The Joshua Tree at the Crème de la Crème Awards

It was a night of celebration, connection, and community spirit as over 200 business owners gathered at Cranage Hall for the Crème de la Crème Cheshire Business Awards 2025 and together raised an incredible £5,438.78 for The Joshua Tree, a local children’s charity supporting families living with childhood cancer.

Hosted by The Cheshire Club, the Arabian Nights–themed evening recognised the very best in Cheshire business, from inspiring entrepreneurs to community champions, while shining a light on the strength and generosity that define the region.

“Every year I’m blown away by the strength, resilience and generosity within our Cheshire community,” said Joanna Scott-Aspray, CEO of The Cheshire Club and founder of the awards. “These awards celebrate not only business excellence but the heart, courage and determination behind the stories. This year it has been especially meaningful to support The Joshua Tree, a charity making a real difference to families across our region.”

The big winner of the night was Laura Wolfe of Road3 Limited, who took home Female of the Year and the evening’s highest honour, Overall Excellence Winner.

“I genuinely wasn’t expecting this at all,” said Laura. “We don’t do what we do for recognition, but it really does mean a lot to know that the hard work gets noticed. This is never just about me. I couldn’t have done any of this without the incredible people who’ve stood by me.”

Other winners included Gena Moors (Splash of Pink) for Community Champion, Sophie Fox (The Mobberley Ice Cream Co) for Best Customer Service, and Sam ‘Lymphoma Lass’ Robson for Outstanding Self Development, each representing the creativity and compassion at the heart of Cheshire business life.

Guests also enjoyed a Gin Fizz reception featuring The Cheshire Club’s new Signature Blends Gin, soon to be stocked at Arighi Bianchi in Macclesfield just in time for Christmas celebrations.

The awards once again proved that Cheshire isn’t just home to thriving businesses, but to a community that gives back with heart, style, and purpose.
