Macerating means soaking fruit in something acid, sweet, or salty to make them sweet and juicy. It’s a bit like a marinade and ideal if the fruit is not quite ripe enough. You can use perfectly ripe strawberries too, they will simply become even more sweet and juicy.
AVOCADO. Made famous in the 80s by Bake-Off hero Pru Leith, avocado and strawberry work really well. Try a subtle strawberry dressing perhaps
SPINACH. Or mix chopped spinach and strawberries for a great looking, super salad.
