Mad about Morzine

I'm in love with charming Morzine, here's why...

I love Morzine. It is so easy to get to from Geneva. And if you are driving out I would fully recommend the Hull to Zeebrugge overnight ferry then driving from there in a day – I did this journey with the four children and wandered if I was mad, but actually it was really very doable. What’s more, Morzine will not disappoint.

Where to stay

Les Trois Mazots

These three individual properties (only available to book together) include a stylish log cabin and two separate mazots combined to sleep up to 8 people in 4 bedrooms.

They share a large sun terrace and decked area with an outdoor hot tub and plenty of space to enjoy the views of the Pleney. It is located just a two minute walk from the Super Morzine lift station; the sights and sounds of Morzine are right there on your doorstep.

La Bergerie

For the last 25 years, Caroline, daughter of the founders Paule and Claude, along with her husband Eric and their children Alexandra and Arthur, has welcomed guests into this family home in central Morzine. Every detail of this 4-star chalet hotel is designed to ensure that your holidays spent in their care feel like a real home from home, where you can spend quality time with family, loved ones and friends whatever the length of your stay.

And if there is any last remaining doubt as to the firmly family-oriented character of La Bergerie, don’t forget that children under 12 stay free of charge in their parents’ room (or their grandparents’, big brother’s etc.)

La Dahu.

Nestled along the south side of the Morzine Valley, the 4* Dahu Hotel & Spa offers guests a uniquely sunny location and a panorama that encompasses the emblematic mountains of the station and its lovely mountain village. Re-opening this 23rd December, it’s set slightly back from the heart of the village (yet still within easy walking) and offers the perfect place to recharge after a day on the slopes.
