Food Storage That Looks as Good as It Works: Our Review of Hokan Bowls

Let’s be honest: food storage has never exactly been sexy.

But the moment we unboxed our set of Hokan Bowls, we realised that was about to change. These beauties are design-led kitchen essentials that we’re genuinely excited to use every day (I’m not sure if that says more about me than it does about them, but either way, we’re excited!)

Cook, Store, Serve, Eat
We’ve all been seduced by pretty cookware before, only to find it lives permanently at the back of the cupboard because it’s too delicate or impractical. Not so with Hokan Bowls. These clever creations are designed for cooking in, storing leftovers, serving at the table, and even eating straight from. All checked and ticked. They seamlessly move from oven to fridge to table – and look good doing it.

They Stack. And Stay Stacked.
One of my favourite features? Stackability. The bowls interlock securely when stacked, meaning you can save precious fridge or shelf space without the wobble (or the spill). And because the bowl sizes vary by height, not width, every lid is the same size. No more rummaging for a match mid-meal prep. Genius.

Durable, Design-Forward, and Plastic-Free
Made from stoneware fired at 1100°C in deep, rich glazes, (we have the Jade Green set) the Hokan Bowl is as robust as it is beautiful. It’s crafted in the tradition of centuries-old ceramics but with a thoroughly modern mindset. There’s no plastic, no chemical nasties, and none of the throwaway guilt. This is the antithesis of cracked Tupperware and warped takeaway tubs.

Even the lids pull double duty, working as serving dishes or platters for sides and toppings. It’s thoughtful, smart design that helps you do more with less both in terms of clutter and cost.

A Premium Product Without the Premium Price Tag
We’re all about investing in things that last and I have to say that Hokan Bowls tick every box. They’re built for everyday use, but look like something you’d find in a Scandi boutique. Better still, the pricing is intentionally accessible, with sets available in stages, so you can build your collection over time.

The Verdict? We’re Sold.
Maybe it’s my age, but I get genuinely excited when something ticks all the boxes; style, practicality, sustainability, and longevity. If you’ve been on the hunt for food storage that works hard, looks great, and supports a more thoughtful lifestyle, Hokan Bowls might just be your new kitchen hero. They are definitely mine.
