With Easter and party season on the horizon, we’re always on the lookout for treats that feel like a yes not a negotiation. Enter Wild Thingz.
There’s a very specific moment every parent knows.
You’re standing in the supermarket, a small person beside you, and you’ve somehow ended up in the sweets aisle. There’s a quiet internal debate happening (part nostalgia, part negotiation, part mild guilt) about what actually goes into those brightly coloured packets.
Because while sweets are meant to be fun, they’ve also become one of those areas where you find yourself reading the label… and then quietly putting things back.

The “Better Sweet” Dilemma
Apparently, we’re not alone in this.
Research suggests that a large number of parents feel conflicted about buying sweets, not because they don’t want to treat their children, but because of the sugar and additives that tend to come with them.
Wild Thingz has been created with exactly that in mind.
The brand is 100% organic, plant-based and contains around half the sugar of traditional sweets, with no artificial colours, flavours or additives. It’s the sort of thing that immediately makes you feel a bit more comfortable saying yes, without turning snack time into a lecture on ingredients or teeth-brushing.
Still Fun (Crucially)
What we liked most is that nothing about it feels overly “worthy”.
These aren’t the kind of sweets that look like they’ve been designed by adults trying too hard to be healthy. They’re still playful, slightly chaotic and very much aimed at children.

Think Blackcurrant Worms, Lemon Maggots, Cola Snails.
Which, unsurprisingly, went down extremely well.
Because ultimately, if it doesn’t feel like a treat, it’s not going to work.
Easter, Parties and Everything In Between
With the inevitable run of parties, playdates and “can I have a snack?” moments we’re likely to be facing this holidays, it feels like a useful addition to the cupboard.
The range is split into three collections:
- Zesty Pests for those who like something a little sharper
- Fruity Flyers for classic sweet flavours
- Gummy Grubs for a bit of everything (including the surprisingly popular cola option)
They’re the sort of thing you can happily put out at a party, add to an Easter basket (you may have seen them hidden in ours!), or keep on hand for those small after-school moments when a treat feels deserved.

A Slightly Easier Yes
We’re not pretending these are suddenly a health food.
They’re still sweets.
But they’re a version that feels a little more considered and in a world where we’re constantly trying to strike a balance between enjoyment and wellbeing, that feels like a step in the right direction.
Because sometimes, you don’t want to say no.
You just want a better yes. (Plus, you get to steal a few too. For testing purposes. Honestly)
They’re stocked on Ocado, Whole Foods, Co-op, Abel & Cole, Amazon
